Hey y’all!

I wanted to give you a glimpse into my life and share how my husband and I celebrated my 24th birthday this last week! I’m not one of those people who needs to make their birthday last a whole month, I promise. I just wanted to share how my thoughtful man gave me the best birthday of my life!

Tyler was gone all week for work, and was not able to celebrate my birthday with me on Thursday. He told me that we would celebrate when he came home Friday evening. I was expecting a small cake maybe and a few presents that I’d hinted at on my Amazon wish list. (Amazing way to make gift buying so easy!)

However, when he came home, he had grocery bags and a big package under his arm.

“Go into the other room and don’t come out until I say so!” he told me.

About an hour later, I walked into the kitchen and saw the most romantic, thoughtful gesture I’d ever seen!

He had set our table with our best dishes, bought an ice bucket for some moscato (literally the only wine I will drink), and had made salad, and a creamy chicken spaghetti dish that was SO GOOD. Little votive candles created a peaceful ambiance, and a happy birthday banner was hung in the corner. To top it off, a beautiful bouquet of roses was at the edge of the table!

After we had dinner, we moved into the living room where three gifts were waiting for me. He bought me a candle from bath and body works that I had been eyeing for a few months, a picnic blanket, and a beautiful picnic basket! (I will link those down below!)

I was blown away with all the hard work put into it and with the fact that he was keeping a good attitude after waking up for PT at 4 a.m.!

However, he locked this into place for being the best birthday ever when he pulled out an envelope and surprised me with concert tickets to one of my favorite musicians!

After presents, we ate some CAKE.

Needless to say, I felt spoiled rotten by the end of the day and it’s safe to say that he definitely made up for not being able to be there for my actual birthday!

So now, I want to hear: What was your best birthday ever?? Please share your stories below!

-Emily
